The destruction of satellites and the severing of undersea cables by a certain major power caused the world’s infrastructure to regress to the level of the 19th century. Sparked by these large-scale acts of terror, the world was soon engulfed in flames of war. Amid countless upheavals, letters and sealed mail were revived—from civilian use to military operations—to compensate for the shattered communication networks. As the war dragged on, with expanded conscription and widespread contamination from BC weapons used in cycles of mutual retaliation across regions, robot army men that had already been deployed to battlefields were repurposed to maintain the postal system. That was the birth of the Robot Postman. Even under the harshest conditions, the Robot Postman never stopped moving, carrying countless thoughts and feelings from place to place. Even now— after humanity is gone. [Unidentified Unit (5364 Clan)] In the early stages of the Great War, there was a period when certain rioters captured Robot Postmen and engaged in illegal activities such as covering them in graffiti or hacking them to transmit private messages. This particular unit is said to be a modified model created by a group calling themselves the “5364 Clan” (apparently read as Gomimushi). What they intended to convey with the large Japanese character “圧” emblazoned across its body remains unknown. The 5364 figure shown in the image is not a product for sale.
